From what I know (story for Spoilers, but it has to go with my question) Hazeltail had her stomach torn open, and yet she didn't die from this extremely bad injury.
Now Tigerstar had close to the exact same thing happen to him. But yet he died nine times (despite being from chin to tail) it was still the same terms.
So what in the world happened? Why wasn't Hazeltail killed by such a horrible wound that can be inflicted. I don't get why she didn't die
That being said, I honestly have no idea how Hazeltail survived an injury like that. Who knows, maybe she didn't and we simply didn't see her as one of the cats that joined StarClan.
That's probably the main difference in these kinds of situations. Normal cat claws might open the skin, but they're not really long enough to do more damage in one swipe.
